Thankz for all who were giving good explanations for my questions.Here are some more doubts plz clarify them
1.what is MULTI MAPPING ? In which cases w have to go for MULTI MAPPING ?
How it can be done with BPM and with out BPM?
2.what is CORRELATION in which cases we have to go for it ? any sample scenario examples?
3.what is LOGGING/TRACE ? can u list some different ways of LOGGING/TRACE ?
Plz answer to above questions,as many as possible with example scenarios.

Correlation is used when you have multiple receive steps in the BPM to differentiate each file.
Consider your receive step is executed and the BPM is active waiting for the other file to come in.
Before the next file comes in , if another BPM is activated because your received recive1 message. Now, when the next message comes in , how does XI know which BPM instance is to be used.
Correlation is used in these cases. to correlate the messages,
