Printing to destination LOCL

Hi experts,

Can anyone explain what is the difference between printing to an output device and simply putting LOCL here?

What is the meaning of LOCL? how SAP manages this internally?

LOCL will print to the default printer that you have specified.

Davis,

thanks for ur reply.

I removed the default printer from my user settings, Still it works.

Is there some where else i need to check, how the default printer is determined?

It is my understanding that LOCL will print to the default print of your operating system. I could be wrong but I believe that is the case.

Welcome to SDN.

LOCL - Local printer which you have installed in our computer.

LP01 - Standard SAP printer. This is the default printer if you havent specified any LOCL printer.

If LOCL is available, then LOCL overrides LP01.

LP01 stands for Local Printer - Default printer when you install SAP GUI.

Amit
