Set Up Maintenance Optimizer

Former Member

Hello all,

I would like to set the solution manager Maintenance optimizer for downloading service packs and patches from the market place.

Following the note 1024932, the path to this action should be:

Transaction SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG -> SAP Solution Manager Implementation Guide -> SAP Solution Manager -> Basic Settings -> Set Up Maintenance Optimizer

But under “Basic Settings” node there is no “Set Up Maintenance Optimizer”.

1. What could be the reason for this and how should I resolve it?

2. How can I check the version of solution manager?

Thanks in advance.

Yoel

Hi Yoel,

Go to System->status and check in which ST patch is your system?

In SP12 these settings for Maintenance Optimizer are more "automatic" so I think thery are included in Initial Configuration part I or II.

Hope this helps,

Thank you Dolores,

The "ST" release is 400, and Level is 0006, “Highest support package” is SAPKITL416.

I think that SP12 is not installed.

Any help for configuration of “Maintenance Optimizer” will be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Yoel,

First of all you must be on SP Stack 9.

Since you are not, then either install SP Stack 9, or even better, do a new installation of Solution Manager 4.0 SR2 which is at SP Stack 9.

When you get there then I will be very happy to help you further

Yechezkel shalom

I installed the solution manager from the NW 2004 SR2 kit.

The version of solution manager as appears on the DVD’s should be

“Solution manager 4” with SP9.

Thanks in advance

Shalom Yoel,

I strongly advise you to either order a NEW Solution Manager 4.0 SR2 Installation Package, or download it from the SAP Service Marketplace.

This contains SP STACK 9

ST 400 should show 0009
