No database statistics available in ST04

Hi,

I have opened for a session with SAP. The SAP support executive insists that ST04 database statistics be made available in the system. I have started the d/b monitor using STRDBMON. Also as4/dbmon/enable is set to 1, still no data is reflected in ST04. I can't understand..why?

When I go to ST04, it displays 'No DB performance data available'. When I go to 'Display database monitor activity' under Goto menu, it displays at the bottom as 'You are not authorised to use the memory based SQL database monitor'.

Had anyone of us had similar kind of problem? Can anyone help with this?

Regards,

Sai R.

Hi Sai,

STRDBMON is the OLD DB-Monitor that is no longer used in ST04 !

=> please do NOT activate this one as well !

On what SAP release are you ?

Is this shown in RZ11 ?

as4/dbmon/enable = 1

What is the OS/400 release ? Are you current with PTFs ? (because the db mon had a lot of problems before ...)

as4/dbmon/enable is set to 1. I think it may be problem with PTFs, have ordered for them.

Also jobs RSDB4UPD and RSDB4DBH keep failing. Do I have to run any report to activate the new DBMon or will it get activated as soon as the profile parameter is set to 1.

Hi,

if your PTF level should be very old, this might be - but I suspect another issue here ... have never seen that ...

Please apply the PTFs and if this doesn't help, please open an OSS ticket ...

Volker,

I have opened an OSS ticket for the same, they too suggest PTFs. I have ordered the latest PTF groups starting with SF9952*. Let's see if it works, will let you know if this solves the purpose or anything else as you suspect.

Thanks!
