Srikrishnan - rthe one you are referringto is the normal SAP support message which is not the CSN ticket, to my knowledge.

Vincent- Can you please detail on how to go about it.

Hi Anto,

why not you go to http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager

SAP Solution Manager -> FAQ -> Service Desk.

it mentioned something like.... Bi-directional interface to SAP to forward messages to SAP Support

the good thing is Solution Manager is FREE !!!!

You can create an internal Support Structure within your organization as well.

cheers,

Vincent

Hello Antony,

I think there is a serioud missunderstanding here.

The CSN ticket is the customer message.

CSN is the SID of the R/3 system where we recive this messages and work on them. So SAP employes often say CSN ticket.

It is a simple message.

So in the end.. is it any different from the Service.sap.com-> report product errors messages that we raise usually.

I got this doubt after i got a mail after raising a SAP support message (through the normal route - Service.sap.com-> report product errors ). The mail asked me to raise a CSN ticket and not the SAP support ticket, which i have raised.

Please answer

1 . Are they different - YES or NO :).

PS: I have also replied to the mail asking wats the difference. waiting for the reply for the last few days :(.

Thanks

Hi Anto,

I think Dezso has clarified this perfectly

CSN ticket and SAP Support ticket are the SAME. Its just that the internal system

that holds all(including) the customer created messages has the SID as CSN.

So when asked to create a CSN ticket, please follow the procedure in

http://service.sap.com/support.

Thank you... unfortunately the mail was from a SAP guy asking to post a CSN request, when i raised a support message for an urgent issue.

Hi anto,

As you figured out that support ticket is created from

http://service.sap.com/support, the CSN is the system into which all of this and more gets stored. We can access the CSN system internally at SAP, but for customers the SMP is the way to go, I guess.

Hi Anto,

For creating a CSN ticket, logon to http://service.sap.com/support. But for doing

so, you will need to have a S-User ID and password. The s-userid is available for

SAP customers. Once logged in goto "Help and Support" -> "Report Error".
