VA03-- Buffer

Hello friends I have a strange doubt….

 it is possible that on the opening screen of SAP VA03 if you you would need to enter a Sales Order.

1. If u say first letter Ex: "5", it prompts you with other previous numbers that you have processed before.

So my question goes as is there some setting in SAP in order to have this work?? Because we have some users who don’t have this functionality…

Please help me with this If you have an Idea….

Dear Latha,

If you enter 5* and enter F4, it will display all the SOs starting with 5. It is accomplished with SearchHelp.

Check the SearchHelp that is being assigned to the field.

Field is - VBELN

Serch help is - VMVA

Dear Latha,

As the search doesn't have a field for User Name. The problem could be with authorization. Does the user who is not able to get data has authorization to view the sales orders in question.

Few of the reasons:

1. The user has to enter 5* not just 5

2. The user should authorization to view data

3. Have you implemented search help exit to restrict the data to be displayed based on user ?

yes Latha,

the settings are as follows

go to options tab which is just after the '?' (help icon)

press options subtab

select expert

in controls tab , put a check mark against all 4 options

press ok

now u can proceed & see the desired effect

Hi Latha,

Yes, this is a small SAP set-up.

=> Click on the " <b>Customzie local layout</b>" button ( this is the button whoch is on the SAP toolbar at the extrem right, it's the green, red, blue button.

then you go to "<b>Options</b>" then the "<b>Local Data</b>" tab.

If you want your latest field to be kept, just active the "<b>History</b>".
