I AM ALSO ON EP. SO AS FAR I HAVE SEEN ALL THE SCREENS IN SAP PI ARE DEVELOPED USING WEBDYNPRO. ESP THE NEW LOOK N FEEL OF SLD. HONESTLY IT WAS MUCH COMFORTABLE IN XI3.0.

BUT I WANT TO KNOW IS WHERE DO WE SPECIFICALLY USE WEBDYNPRO FOR EITHER JAVA / ABAP IN XI / PI. IF YOU CAN ELLABORATE OR GIVE SOME EXAMPLE THAT WILL BE GR8.

THANKS.

Please don't use caps. It could (and should) be considered offensive.

As of using WebDynpro in integration scenarios, suppose for example you have an abap table that you use for maintaining lookup/configuration values. You could maintain this table through SE16, if you're an experienced SAP user. But if you intend to deliver a product for not so experienced users (in the sense of automatic integration of XI, that'd make more sense), you could use a WebDynpro application which simply exposes this table in a web page, and the customers could maintain the lookup/configuration values in this page.

There are a lot of more possibilities (integrating with java proxies, calling web services, RFCs etc.), but always in the sense of providing user interaction for some integration step.

Henrique.

Hi,

no dynpro applications (ABAP or java)

are used with interfaces a lot

(you can set configuration data like that etc)

and both abap and java dynpros are technologies that you can use if

you have XI (as you have abap and java stacks)

of course once you develop dynpro application you can put it in EP

but this is completely different story I'd say

hope that clarifies

Hi,

have a look at:

ABAP webdynpro

JAVA webdynpro

these two also allow you to create pages based on MVC

and you can use them with XI (or rather XI's web application server)
