Good day everyone.
I have just patched the kernel from 640 101 unicode IA64 to 640 190 unicode IA64.
I managed to start the SAP system without any error, SICK test is fine. However after a while, Signal 11 error start appearing in the system log and work process keep restarting.
Prior to starting the SAP system, I cleared the shared memory via cleanipc <nr> remove.
The detail error log entries are:
Signal 11 received by operating system
Due to special circumstances (for example, memory overwritten), the
current process has received a signal from the operating system and
its signal handling routine has been invoked. For security reasons
this process is terminated. A dump is written which shows the error
context.
Has anyone encouter similar error before?
Thank you and best regards
Chee Keong
Sorry, saw that you just patch kernel to 190
Please paste the C-Stack info, and the memory allocation info.
cheers,
Vincent

Hi Chee Keong,
Signal 11 is always indicate an error situation.
Do you have C-Stack information in dev trace files ? i.e dev_w*
What is the memory allocation like before this signal occurred ?
You have Kernel 640 Patch level 101. This patch level is too old.
Usually Signal 11 can be solved by patching the latest patch level.
Please update the latest one, as per SAP Note 19466 and see if it happen again.
cheers,
Vincent
