Hi All,
I am getting 'Invalid HTTP Connection :ADS' information message while activating the PDF form and form shows Inactive state only.
Any idea how to solve the issue.
Regards
Sri Tayi
Hey everybody!
I have the same problem. In addition I have a local installation of Netweaver 7.0 with SPS 12 which means the paths described within the configuration guide dont exist.
(The system is running local on my laptop, also, the server is localhost...)
I already searched for some data files, which should belong to the ADS configuration tool, but didn't find any.
Maybe I have to install ADS seperatly yet? I don't know if it is already installed with the trial version of Netweaver or not.
All the check programs named by the configuration guide don't work...
Does anybody has an idea...?
Kind regards, Alex

Well, after following this link <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/80fd9a0a-e306-2a10-c896-b84c77c13ed2">https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/80fd9a0a-e306-2a10-c896-b84c77c13ed2</a> and downloading the Netweaver files, regarding to the last sentence on the page Interactive Forms also should work with this installation.
As it is proposed I installed the credential file to windows but it doesn't work yet.
I'm afraid I do need the JAVA Stack since I have no possibility to configure the ADS with ABAP installed only...
I think I open a ticket to get the sense clearly behind the information regarding the above named link...
Or maybe there is a possibility for configuration and is just hidden somewhere...
We will see. So long, regards & many thanks, Alex
Ah, ok...
So then, the forms also would run on the Java server and not on my local Mini-SAP?
Do you know, if there is any posibility to connect a local server to a "real" server in order to establish a Java connection?
And if yes, how do I set up such a scenario? Are there any scripts or documentations? I didn't find any helpful...
Kind regards, Alex

Hello Alex,
your local installation is just like any other. it can make use of any existing JAVA Server.
What you need to to ist to: configure the RFC Destionation ADS in Tr. SM59
and configure the system /* ADS_Agent user, Destionation Service, .. */ as described in the configuration guide:
http://service.sap.com/adobe -> Media Library -> Documentation
Best regards,
Dezso
Hm, I already read this document but had several problems with the configuration of the ADS itself...
Well, I'll have another try on that, I think.
Do you have some detailed documentation about Interactive Forms?
Although, I saw some general technical pictures of the two stacks and some short explanations (in some general presentations from SAP), I didn't understand that Java is a must to execute an Adobe form.
So some detailed technical description of the working process, the technical requirements and so on could be very useful.
So far, I only have some summaries...
As always many thanks and kind regards, Alex
Hello,
have you configured the ADS on your J2EE engine?
This problem can occure if there is no ADS connected to the system.
Please check your configuration.
Best regards,
Dezso
