Hi,
Please find the details as below :
<b>Support Packages:</b>
An SAP system consists of different software layers, also called software
components. The errors for these components are corrected and new functions are provided using Support Packages. The SAP system should always be kept at the current correction status so that errors in the standard release are preventatively removed.
SAP makes support packages available to provide additional enhancements and to correct errors for the components in an sap system.
A Support Package is a collection of corrected SAP objects.
The technical names for SAP components are :
SAP_APPL (SAP APPL Support Package): SAPKH<rel><no>
. SAP_BASIS (Basis Support Package): SAPKB<rel><no>
. SAP_ABA (Application Basis SP): SAPKA<rel><no>
. SAP_HR (SAP HR Support Package) : SAPKE<rel><no>
. SAP_SCM (SCM Support Package): SAPKY<rel><no>
. SAP_BW (BW Support Package): SAPKW<rel><no>
. SAP_CRM (CRM Support Package): SAPKU<rel><no>
Transaction SPAM is used for importing support packages:
You can get more details and download support packages via http://service.sap.com/patches.
<b>SAP Notes:</b>
A current error correction that is not yet included in any Support Package is to
be imported in accordance with a SAP Note. The administrator performs this
correction using the SAP Note Assistant - transaction SNOTE.
SAP Notes are not allowed to change DDIC objects. There is
therefore no SPDD modification adjustment during an upgrade or when
importing Support Packages.
SAP Notes are not allowed to change DDIC objects.
The SAP Note Assistant also supports downloading from the SAP Service
Marketplace.
You can get more details and download notes via http://service.sap.com/noteassistant
