Hi All,
If I have ECC6 and sap xi, then is it mandatory that I have to go for proxies and not RFC's?
If I want to use RFC's instead of proxies at the sender end where sender is ECC6 system, then what could be the reasons for the same?
Regards,
Ashish
Hey Ashish
as a thumb rule for me,i take the following into consideration when deciding the interface.
if and IDOC can fulfil my complete requirement i prefer IDOC.
if i need to write a custom module then ofcourse RFC
if the data load is huge and time and performance is a constraint then i prefer Proxy.
only disadvantage i find with proxies is that you need to have a decent knowledge of ABAP to write ABAP proxies, other than that, proxies are better compared to other interfaces
Thanx
Ahmad

Comfortably you can use RFCs, here Proxies are are not mandatory.
when you use RFCs as outbound then you need not define Sender agreement rather directly can be send to the scenario why becoz XI is working ABAP Engine.
