ECO Release

Hi Experts,

I have a DIR1 which is in released status FR of type(S) and is associated with a certain ECO (closed and released). Now since I have created another version of the DIR1, I want to change status of DIR1 to obsolete. When I try and do this the system will not let me and gives a message saying --System status: Engineering change order XXXX is already released.

How do I change the status of a DIR that is released wrt an ECO?

Hi Rahul,

In any standard process it should not allow you to change the DIR once its Status is set "RELEASE" and when ECO is also "CLOSE".

To change the status as per your requirement you need to do following settings in Configuration.

T.Code "DC10"

Select the document type you want to change,

Click on "Define Document Status" select the Release Status with "S" type

and go to Details Screen.

<b>Remove the Check from "Complete for ECM"

and Remove the Check from "Release Flag"</b>

Then go back to CV02N and change the status for your DIR, it will allow you to change the status, then you can even the change the DIR.
