ITS: issues with downloading ALV

Hi All,

We have a peculiar problem with ITS(SAP ITS 6.20) applications in Portal especially when Users try to download an ALV report to a Local file. A screen shows up saying "<b>Please wait. You will be forwarded automatically</b>." and it waits there without downloading anything at all. Could someone throw some light on this issue!

Hello Roopesh,

Please make sure your users have a supported JVM for downloading. See note 980772 for more information.

If the issue persists then please update after testing if the issue occurs when calling the ITS directly, not through the Portal, and if there is a reverse proxy or other network applications. Thanks.

Hi ,

To the best of my knowledge this will work if you install JRE and enable Java scripts in your browser.

Thanks for all your inputs.

The User had j2re 1.4.2_06 on his system. I upgraded it to 1.4.2_08 and now it works fine. But j2re 1.6.0_01 also seems to throw up an error, though!
