Hello everybody,

pleas it 's possible to Install SAP XI on my Laptop ? and How can I do it?

Can we install it on AMD processor?

Can we use external 80 GB hard disk?

Yes, U can use AMD,

If U wanna install in Ur external Hard drive, U have to have VMware.

Hi,

Please download installation guides from the following link.

http://service.sap.com/instguides

1) Installation guide for Exchange infrastructure

2) Configuration Guide (Follow this guide after installation)

3) Tunning guide (Apply recommended parameters)

plz follow the following steps, during the installation process:

1. Windows server or advanced server with latest service patch.

2. IE 6.0 with latest service patch

3. Install Microsoft office and winzip, acrobat

4. Install JDK with version 1.4.2_03 or above with the corresponding JVM

5. Install the SAP GUI 6.20

6. Make sure that you have hard disk space of 10 GB in C drive and 50 GB in the installation drive.

7. Make sure the virtual memory is between 512 and 1594 or above for the installation drive.

8. Copy the dumps of following DVDs into the installation drive.

• Installation Master DVD

• Installation Export

• Additonal Components for SAP BW/SAP XI,SAP MI,SAP KW

• SAP Web As Java

9. Start the installation from the DVD dump Installation Master DVD.

10. When installing the ABAP Database the SID of the oracle default database should be different the ABAP database SID.

Yes. It is just possible

U just have to follow the hardware requirement

e.g. SAP XI - 2gb ram(min requirement), and 80gb hard drive(min requirement) and any processor after P-IV will do

Im ABAP developer but I havent any experience on JAVa ist that a Problem ?

Experience in java is not a necessity. Just the concepts will do.

for wht? if it is for installation "not a problem",

if it is for working with XI "a bit", but u can cope-up.

I have very little Java (and even less ABAP!)

I am probably a rarity that I was an FI functional before moving onto Basis, then onto XI!

Search in this form as "New to sap-xi", you can find number of gud blogs and also refer help.sap.com.

PS: 1) plz use separate post for separate topics
