I can say the transport group uniquely identifies the each the tranport that comes as a request. it is a identifiation mechanism.

Small Ex: In offices, so many departments, in each department, somany employees. To distinguish each, we need some mechanism, here department.

Hi Mohan,

Transport groups are used to send transport requests to specific targets depending on the project your working on. basically some companies use clients for an specific development so when a trasport relevant to that project is created the transport group is used to select the right target to be updated.
