User unable to print...how to tackle the issue

Hi,

The user is unable to print.How to deal with the issue.

I tried to ping the printer and i got response from it.

wat next???

Hello Raghu,

Please always be very clear with your question and explain as to what error is being faced ? Please give the details of whatever the user is doing and then the error that you are getting.

Just noticed that you gave me points for the post!! Well I have not done anything to deserve them. Thanks but I would really appreciate if you could give the error that is coming. You can find it in the spool logs through SP01.

Hi Raghu,

Go to SP01 > Specify the user name and time period when user has given print and execute. You will find the spool requests generated by the user. Check the spool request contains any errors. Look into the spool log if any errors. If every thing ok check at OS level whether print request generated or not.

Check the printer at OS level. Give one test print and confirm.
