SAPinst error on Master DVD

Netweaver 2004s SR1

TMKSVR installation completed succesfully

SAPINST.EXE ran and selected Netweaver 04 SR1> SAP system installation>IBM DB2 UDB for iSeries>Unicode>Database instance installation

An error appears on Installation master DVD

FCO-00056 An error occured when copying contenct of product directory Z:/QOPT/D51032143/IM_OS400_PPC/SAPINST/OS400/AS400/PATCOL640/WEBAS630/DB4/ABAP/UC to Z:/usr/sap/SAPinst/NW04/SYSTEM/ABAP/DB4/UC/DB. Check whether the directory Z:/QOPT/D51032143/IM_OS400_PPC/SAPINST/OS400/AS400/PATCOL640/WEBAS630/DB4/ABAP/UC

exists.

And when this is checked there is no such directory on the installation master DVD

The structure on the DVD is as follows :

> QOPT

>>D51032143

>>>IM_OS400_PPC64

>>>>SAPINST

>>>>>OS400

>>>>>>AS400

>>>>>>>PATCHCOL640

>>>>>>>>WEBAS630

>>>>>>>>>DB4

and there are no additional directories under DB4. There is an ABAP 0KB file.

Any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated.

I could also not believe it!

Will do - I have ISERPACK8 downloaded and ready to patch. Thanks for the assistance as always.

Hi,

Managed to download the installation DVD off the web and it had the required directory unlike the DVD that was shipped to me. So I will be closing this thread!!

Hi Anette,

I would normally say: i cannot believe that ... but:

at least you should update the TMKSVR & perhaps the control file ...

Hi Volker, Hope you are well!

I would love to concur with not loading SR1 but the SAP consultants are demanding it because they require it for the Best practices baseline (DE) and Automotive baseline - so I have no choice

Hi Anette,

I'm sorry, but I would STRONGLY suggest, to no longer use SR1, but SR2 which is available since february !

This is stable without any patch )
