Hi,

We are installing NW2004s SR2 for EP on oracle 10g. In the 19th step "Import Java dump", installation error is thrown. When we looked at jload.log and jload.java.log, we are getting the following error

Are you on SLES10?

if yes, please check /etc/hosts, if there is an entry like

127.0.0.2 <hostname> <fqdn>

Please remove this line, and enter a new line with the correct ip address and hostname.

Thanks

<b>plz do not mix up db2 related problems under the oracle section...thx!</b>

-> did you try to open the db2 console of your database using user db2<sid>?

-> any logs available indicating the error?

-> what about

> db2 get db cfg for <SID>

Note that "lsnrctl start" must be called by ora<sid> user, while installation procedure (sapinst) by root. Maybe it's just the case of starting listener manually by user with sufficient rights.

It seems that your database is not running/crashed.

Check your Oracle alert<SID>.log in /oracle/<SID>/saptrace/background and see there, what happened to the database.

Step 1

Do the basic testing of R3trans -d.

Check the log created in the same directory trans.log. This log file gives lot of information.

Step 2

Check oracle is running or not? (Windows process or unix process)

Step 3

a) Restart the server and start the database manually.

b) Start Continue old installation.
