At the moment we're using the old "Paper Form" process to document Change Requests (Transports) and receive Approval signatures, which is causing it's share of problems.
What type of Change Request Approval Software is anyone using out there?
We'd want it to workflow through to the approval signatures, then after approvals forward to Basis, and back to the originator once imported into Production.
Thanks
Ken
Why go outside SAP. You can do it within SAP.
You can add a QA step to the imports - that way once released the transports have to be QA approved by someone on the SAP screen first.
You can also switch on workflow controlled transports.
Both are set via stms. Have your Basis admin look at it else ask for assistance from you SAP partner.

We'd don't have workflow switched on, but if you've had experience with this functionality does it:
- Allow for 2 - 3 sequencial approvers, then workflow to Basis for final import into Prod
- Store documented evidence (test data and results, screen shots)
- Audit trail (Which I believe it does)
WF takes about 30mins to setup, its nothing.
You can have as many approvers as you want.
Store document evidence - well they are in the inbox and basis wont get them till they are approved.
Audit trail is in the WF
You can just use the QA Approval if you dont want to do WF. again the steps are recorded in the transport history.
