hi,

full cycle means end to end implementation i.e from project preparation stage to post go-live support phase.

it depends upon ur comfort levels with the project which phase u have u have to specify.

RAKESH...

ON FULL LIFE CYCLE STANDS FROM

PROJECT PREPARATION TO GO-LIVE PHASES.

THIS INVOLVES WHOLE SAP PROJECT FROM FIRST STEP(PROJECT PREPARATION) TO LAST STEP (GO LIVE).

IN MY EXPLANATION ABOVE, IN STEP 1.PROJECT PREPARATION , YOU CAN FIND 1A,"SCOPE OF PROJECT", THERE U WILL DEFINE HOW MANY MODULES U NEED TO BE IMPLEMENTED. AND IN 1B"PHASES INVOLVED" YOU WILL BE KNOWN HOW MANY PHASES INVOLVED IN YOUR PROJECT. AND IN 1D"TEAM FORMATION" IN TEAM FORMATION YOU WILL KNOW HOW MANY CONSULTANTS ARE NEEDED AND IN WHAT ROLES/MODULE CONFIGURATORS.

hi again...

it DEPENDS UPON THE SIZE OF THE PROJECT AND VOLUME OF SD /MM/ FI-CO /ANY MODULE.IT CAN'T SAY AS IT SHOULD HAVE LIMITED NUMBER OF CONSULTANTS.DEPENDS UPON THE VOLUME OF THE COMPANY AND ITS DEADLINES, CONSULTANTS WILL TAKEN INTO PROJECT.starting with MINIMUM OF one SD/MM/or FICO CONSULTANT ,SOME PROJECTS MAY RUN SUCCESFULLY.

hi,

first of all i would recomend u to change ur jargon there is nothing called marketing in SAP, it is all functional modules ,

the team size depends on the size of the buisness process ,

they can range from 2 SD consultants to max of 10- 20 (some times).

it all depends on the size of the buisness process.

Hi again...

Final Preparation:

In this phase we complete the testing and END-user training and cut-over activities to finalizeyour readiness to go-live.Further more, this phase serves to resolve all critical OPEN issues.

1.UPLOADING THE SIMULATED DATA

2.INTEGRATION TESTING- Testing done with data processing by two or more modules, for ex- SD, MM and FI/CO.

3.CUT-OVER ACTIVITIES- here we cut-off all the unecessary activities /data which is not relevant for the project before go-live.

4.Pre-GO LIVE end-user training: - here Consultant gives training to end-user about the application's functionalities.

IN SAP IMPLEMENTATION ENVIRONMENT, WE HAVE THREE SERVERS.

1.DEVELOPMENT SERVER 2.QA(TESTING)SERVER 3.PRODUCTION SERVER

EVERY ACTIVITY WILL BE CONFIGURED ON DEVELOPMENT SERVER.IF THAT ACTIVITY IS RUNNING SUCESSFULLY OR NOT WILL BE CHECKED ON QUALITY SERVER (2). HERE 2 TESTINGS ARE THERE , 1 UNIT TESTING (TESTING ONE APPLICATION) AND INTEGRATION TESTING (TESTING TWO OR MORE APPLICATIONS DATA).ONCE QUALITY TESTING IS DONE , THESE APPLICATIONS WILL BE TRANSFERED TO PRODUCTION SERVER (WHERE THE END USERS WORK IN BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT.)

Hope this helps you...

Hi Rakesh,

The ASAP methodology is recommended by SAP for implementation planning and system implementation. It has the following phases.

Project Preparation - The primary focus of Phase 1 is getting the project started, identifying team members and developing a high-level plan.

Business Blueprint - The primary focus of Phase 2 is to understand the business goals of the company and to determine the business requirements needed to support those goals.

Realization - The purpose of this phase is to implement all the business and process requirements based on the Business Blueprint. You customize the system step by step in two work packages, Baseline and Final configuration.

Final Preparation - The purpose of this phase is to complete testing, end-user training, system management and cut over activities. Critical open issues are resolved. Upon the successful completion of this phase, you will be ready to run your business in your productive R/3 system.

Go Live and Support - Transition from a project oriented, pre-productive environment to a successful and live productive operation.
