Hello All

Can anyone, please clearify the relationship between S_TOCE & P_TCODE.

I am manually creating authorization & profiles. and

I want to authorize user for tranaaction code PA30. Do i need to create authorization in both S_TCOD & S_PTCODE.

Thanks...

Julio,

Good P_TCODE info from SAP:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/e4/b8b83b5b831f3be10000000a114084/content.htm

SU24 does not show P_TCODE is needed for transaction PA30.

Many years ago I was told P_TCODE and other *_TCODE objects were developed before a cross module S_TCODE was around. Each module or area was responsible for developing its own security. Once S_TCODE was in place not all HR transactions needed the additional P_TCODE object. I'm not sure about about internal SAP developments as this was before I was doing security. However I would be interested to know.

Cheers,

Ben
