Hi guys,
For the project's requirement, we need to pick up the mail via pop3 protocol, when i configure Mail adapter using POP3 protocol basic on PCK, it works fine, and it can pick up the mail from predefined user, but when i configured mail adapter on XI system, No any mails were picked up, and all the configuration is same(and using IMAP4 protocol, it also works fine );
Whether the XI system need the special configuration?
Did somebody meet this kind of problem? or somebody have better ideas?
PS: My configuration is:
Transport Protocol: pop3
Message Protocol:XIPayload
Adapter Engine: Integration Server
URL:pop://dev*****
Thanks a lot
Rocky
Hi ,
Since i have no authority to logon on the XI system, i found another way to check this problem, using T-Code SM69 to ping the POP3 server. But i also have no authority to use this T-code.
I will try other way to clarify this solution.
Thanks a lot.
Rocky

When you can access the mail server from PCK, but not from XI then it could be the reason that the XI cannot connect to the mail server due to network restrictions.
Try to ping the mail server from XI. Maybe you need a long name or IP address of the mail server to be able to access.
Check as well for typos

Hi, thanks for your reply;
The communication channel monitor has the error information:
" exception caught during processing mail message; java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect
exception caught during processing mail message; java.net.SocketException: Network is unreachable: connect"
But i have not authority to check the tractor log.

Check SAP Note 856599
