Movement type 1 in SLC

Hii experts,

In SCHEDULE LINE CATEGORY templates , there is a template "Movement type 1 ", the definition says that it's meant for when two goods movement needs to happen.

How can two goods movement happen with a single schedule line, if it can please explain with an example.

Hi ,

I guess it is for stock transfer between the plants when they are quite away from each other and to track the inventory in the mean time we first put the stock

In -transit location and then from in-Transit location to unrestricted .

This is two step stock transfer

The scenario two storage locations in one plant.

In Inventory Management, the stock updating takes place with 2 procedures:

1 – Step Procedure: Stock updating takes place in one step where updating takes place at receiving storage location and delivering storage location.

2 – Step Procedure: It is done with SD and W/O SD. In case of with SD following procedure is followed.

OBD is created with the help of delivery documents NLC / NLCC.

This Delivery documents are created with reference to Pseudo document (which is equivalent to sales order).

This delivery documents contains schedule lines NC / NN

NC : Inter-company Replenishments

Movement Type : 643 : TF to cross company

Movement Type: 645: TF to cross company.

NN : Replenishment w/o MRP

Movement Type : 641 : TF to stock in transit

Movement Type: 647: TF to stock in transit

hi,

in inventory movement the stock updating should take place at a time at receiving storage location and delivering location in replenishment deliveries(STO) or manually they should be updated.if automatically , system has to uipdate the stock in receiving and delivering plant level then that is called as a movement type 1 step

Ex: NC: inter company replenishment. movement type 643 and movement type 1 step=645
