Hi,
I want to configure EWA self service using Solman 4.0. I succesfully did the following :
a. Maintained SMSY and create the required trusted RFC connections from SM to satellite system. All connection and authorization passed in SM59. I used SAP_ALL/SDCCN_ALL role and assigned objects S_RFC*.
b. Assigned the system to a logical system.
c. Created the a new solution and activate "Solutions Monitoring > Earlywatch Alert"
d. Activated and maintained required RFC in SDCCN in satallite system.
My problem is that the create EWA alert request (Red Flag with a specific session number ) coulnd be pass to the satelitte system even though all the trusted RFC and authorization is set. When i execute the SESSION_REFRESH in the satellite system, the session is not created.
Did I miss out any steps. Can any one share any help ?
FYI, there is no connection to SAPOSS yet, so i did not manage to run RTCCTOOL completed, but i doubt this is required for EWA self service.
Hi Groupies ,
I had the same Incident.
My Problem:
Service Definitions in SDCCN were deleted.
Solution:
1. Log into Solution Manager
2. Call Transaction "SDCCN"
3. Menupoint: Task=>Create=>"Refresh Service Definitions" Start Time : "Now"
It could be, that you must do it also in the Satellite System (may be the definition are also not available).
4.Call Transaction (in SolMan) dswp and Plan a new EWA Task
5. Log into Satellite System
6. Call SDCCN
7. Menupoint: Task=>Create=>"Refresh Sessions" Start Time "Now"
After this procedure it works at my Systems.

Hi,
I had the same problem recently. It was caused by not having the BACK RFC destination defined within the satellite system's SDCCN. I added the BACK RFC to SDCCN using Goto > Settings > Task-specific.
Once this entry was added, running a Refresh Session in SDCCN brought in all the EWA session that were 'waiting' on SolMan.
Regards,
Arwel.

Hi,
I have exactly the same issue !
Sessions generated in SM are not passed to satellite system.
Did you find any solution ?

Hi sapbcer,
please create a new thread for troubles with EWA in your system.
Describe
- What you have already done (configuration, RFCs)
- Software components (ST, ST-SER, ...) in SAP Solution Manager
- Software components (ST-PI, ST-A/PI) in satellite systems
- What you are using in satellite system? SDCCN or SDCC
If SDCCN, was SDCCN successfully initiliazed, are all revelant jobs running
- Potential error messages, results of Self-Diagnosis (enhanced as of ST 400 SP12)
Best regards,
Ruediger
My problem is the EWA session info cannot be transferred to the satellite system. Even after SESSION_REFRESH, it did not appear in the satellite system.

Hi Shing,
SDCCN requires a RFC destination from the satellite system to the SAP Solution Manager system.
This RFC is usally called SM...BACK....
The RFC needs to be entered in SDCCN (manually: Goto Task Specific settings -> RFC Destinations) or (automatically from SAP Solution Manager, in tx SMSY, Goto (or similar) - Solution Manager Operations ....-> SDCCN Administration).
Best regards,
Ruediger Stoecker
Check for any Errors and Cancelled jobs in SM37

Have you created 'REQUEST_DATA' - Request Session data job in SDCCN of satellite system?
If not create and execute the job. then only the EW data will be transferred to SolMAN
