Update Optimizer statistics problem

HI all.

I have executed the update optimizer statisctics on my system which is a ECC 5.0 on Oracle 10 G and on IBM AIX platform...The optimizer statistics is struck at this line

BR0280I BRCONNECT time stamp: 2007-07-09 21.51.47

BR0881I Collecting statistics for table SAPOMD.D010TAB with method/sample C ..

for almost 1 and half hr now.

Somebody please guide me through..

BR Connect gets sometimes. Just kill the process and retry the operation and see.

a few things to check:

update to latest oracle 10.2.0.2 path level

update BRTOOLS 7.00 to latest patch level

Hi...Our Oracle Database has been patched upto the latest level.

And the Brtools version that we are using is also 7.00

We are getting thefollowing error in the detailed log

ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1

ORA-01116: error in opening database file 2

ORA-01110: data file 2: '/oracle/OMD/sapdata1/undo_1/undo.data1'

ORA-27092: size of file exceeds file size limit of the process

This is due to the file size .. check note 553854 and 129439

Thanx.We have resolved the issue.

The problem was with the ulimits

We set the ulimits to -1(unlimited) and restarted SAP

and when we executed update optimizer statistics,it finished the issue.
