Client Issue

I am on a ECC 6.0 platform. I have been working on the same client (100) for both ECC and BW. Now a new client has been created for BW (200) on the same instance. After the creation i went to the table RSADMINA and changed the BW client number to 200 but when i enter RSA1 it says the logical number of the system has been changed. What other steps do i need to execute to be able to work on client 200 for BW.

First, you should never use 2 BW clients at the same time, choose 1 and stick with it.

change login/system_client to 200.

A system restart is needed.

where do i change the the client name to 200?

As the previous poster said:

- start RZ10

- open your instance profile

- change/add the profile paramter "login/system_client" to 200

- save

- restart the instance
