SAP APO BW Data Extraction from InfoSpoke

Currently we are using the following procedure.

Transaction - RSA1

In Administrator Workbench

Tool -> Open Hub Service -> Edit InfoSpoke

Enter the InfoSpoke name

Click Display InfoSpoke

Click Dialog (Extraction in Dialog Process)

This starts extraction of data from the InfoSpoke. We have done a BAdI to filter and modify the data while extraction.

Now our requirement is to achieve the same without going through RSA1 (Administrator Workbench).

To make matters clear (i wrongly thought it was obvious)

Currently we are using the following procedure.

Transaction - RSA1

In Administrator Workbench

Tool -> Open Hub Service -> Edit InfoSpoke

Enter the InfoSpoke name

Click Display InfoSpoke

Click Dialog (Extraction in Dialog Process)

This starts extraction of data from the InfoSpoke. We have done a BAdI to filter and modify the data while extraction.

Now our requirement is to achieve the same without going through RSA1 (Administrator Workbench).

How can we execute the same data extraction process from infospoke as mentioned above without going through the steps mentioned therein and thus comply with the requirement of not using the Administrator Workbench transaction RSA1?

Hello,

For Edit Infospoke you can use transaction RSBOH3. This transaction is not present in the Area Menu.

If you want you can add it in your favorites.

This transaction is fine enough for the purpose. However, still not sure if this transaction will be authorised to a person who doesnt have authorization for RSA1.

Anyway, in our case we solved the issue by using a process chain for extracting the data from the infospoke.

Data is available in an InfoSpoke. From there it is extracted to a file for further processing.
