Hi Pandu,

sorry, but not exactly clear what you want.

what sort of SAP Service you want to run at OS level ? or just purely sapstart/sapstop ?

Event Log -> Do you mean the Windows Event Log ? How to see ? use Event viewer ? Example of the log entries in System Log and Application log that related to SAP Service

<System Log>:

"The SAP<SID>_Service_<nn> service terminated unexpectedly. It has done

this 2 time(s)."

<Application Log>:

"SAP Service SAP<SID>_<nn> executable has changed. Service will be

restarted in 5 minutes."

Does this answer your questions ?

cheers,

Vincent

Hi,

SAP can be started/stopped from OS level using the commands:

startsap and stopsap from user id <sid>adm.

You can view the errors if any from the startsap and stopsap log files in the

home directory for the <sid>adm user.

Points for useful reply.

Regards,

Sandeep.
