We just performed an upgrade from R/3. 4.6C to ECC 6.0 SR2. We changed the SID that is different from 4.6C. Now, under the RZ10, there are two profile names, one refering to the old SID and the other refering to the new SID. I would like to clean them up by removing the profile names pointing to the old SIDs. Can someone point out how to remove the unwanted profile names from the RZ10 list of profile names?
Thank you.
Hi SAP007,
You need to delete profiles files at RZ10 and SAP level as well.
Please visit th link:
http://www.sap-img.com/basis/post-installation-steps-for-ecc-5.htm
and check for the section: Deleting Source System Profiles.
This the generic approach for deleting unwanted profile files.

Hi,
Please find the steps to delete the old profiles from RZ10.
1) Goto RZ10 and select the old profile to be deleted.
2) Click on the menu option Profile->Delete-> All versions -> of a profile
3) You will get a message box asking "Are you sure you want to delete all the versions". Click Yes.
4) Another message box appears asking " Do you want to delete the files from operating system" Click yes if you want to delete those also.
5) Now all the profile files would be deleted and a information box appears with message that the profile files are deleted.Click "tick" to continue.
6) Do an F4 on the profile box and you can see that the profile files are deleted.
7) Repeat the same steps for others also.
Points for the solution.
Regards,
Sandy
