Changing Default Client

I want to change default client 000 to 600 in Production server ver. ECC 5.0

Hi Lait,

<u><b>Changing Default Client</b></u>

1) Goto <b>RZ10</b> T-code

2) Select profile as <b>Default Profile</b>

Select Edit profile as <b>Extended maintenance</b>

Click on <b>Change</b> tab

3) Goto <b>Parameter</b>(menu bar) --> click on<b> Create</b>

Specify parameter name --- login/system_client

Specify parameter value --- 600

4) Click on <b>Copy</b> tab

5) Go back (F3) and again click on <b>Copy</b> tab (In status it is going show the changed profile was transferred)

6) It will ask for save and activate

<b>NOTE:-This parameter gets activated only after system restart</b>

I did all that u suggested but stil default client not changed. I restarted the server and checked it

go directly to

drive:/usr/sap/<SID>/sys/profile/default.pfl

open with notepad

at last add one line login/system_client='xxx'

xxx means that client no

and save.restart the server.

Hi Lalit,

change profile parameter login/system_client to 600. You can put this parameter in DEFAULT profile in RZ10 .
