Hi,

Try Reducing the reserved local address space for extended memory by

setting the profile parameter <b>em/address_space_MB = 250</b> in the

instance profile.

Save the profile and restart the server once it done. You should be all set.

You need to update your dbsl library

which DB are you using ? MS SQL or Oracle or ? OS: Unix / Linux/ Windows / ?

check dev_w* for corresponding error during the similar timestamp...sometimes it can be due to memory space.

if you in windows 32 bits, maybe try to enable /3GB option.

Did this issue ever get resolved ? What was the resolution. I'm working on BW 3.1/6.20 upgrade to BI 7.0 and have received this error too ?

Check the Server roles assigned to the <sid> user in SQL 2005 Server Management Studio. I had added "sysadmin" to try to resolve a different issue and this caused the dispatcher to crash and not restart. Other symptoms included R3trans –x would work, but, R3trans –d would fail. The roles server roles assigned this user are "bulkadmin", "dbcreate" and "serveradmin"

just run R3trans -dx, and copy paste the output of trans.log

Hello,

I will emphasize something one of you said previously:

An <sid> user cannot be "sysadmin" in any version of SQL Server, which results in his SQL using the 'dbo' schema as default, and not his own.

As a result, you get the error from the SVERS table.

Have you checked that he's not "sysadmin"?

Hi,

check the DNS Setting of the server...It seems like network issue. Whenever you ping with the IP Address it should be able to resolve to Fully qualified Domain Name of the server.

Try changing the hostname for one with 8 characters.
