regarding Proxy

Hello Friends,

I am working on Proxies. But I have only one XI server and one R/3 server at my work place.Can I work on proxies.

I heard to work on Proxies we need two XI servers.

Is it true.

If we are not having two XI servers ,Can we have any other method to use one XI server as two XI server.

nope....u can very well work on proxies with the current l'scape u are working on.

Hi Raju,

Before WebAS 6.2 rfc and IDocs were used to communicate between SAP system.But from WebAS >=6.2 onwards proxies are used to communicate between two different SAP servers.As other said already...u need not required two different xi server.

one ia enough.There r two types of proxy.

client/outbound proxy.

server/inbound proxy.

let us know if u have any doubt.

hi

u can use proxies with one xi server and one r/3 server....

proxies used to bypass adapter engine right...

so,instead of using rfc adapter u ill be using proxy to communicate with r/3 server..

Absolutely No.
