let me know why the sap devided three areas of customer master

like general data , company code data, sales area data

Hi,

General data is global so if you have created the customer in general data it can be accessed by all company codes within a company or client.

Company code data is because you may have different company codes in a single company.So it is given to maintain seprate data if needed.

Sales area data is given because of to maintain different data for diiferent sales area.If at all you want to extend the customer in different sales areas and data is different.

hai,

any buisness scenario, maintains data like name , address , contact no etc of the customers .. details in the same way these details are put into general data.

in SAp.

if u want to maintain customer master data centrally that is if u want to includec FI component then u need to maintain company code data

2. company code data : regarding the account management,payment transactions for that particular cuatomer in the comapmy code we mwntion here.

3.sales are adata : here we give exclusive sales related data .

igeneral; data is common for both whether u want to maintain customer centrally or with regards only to sales area.

so u have transsation codes for centrally XD01-sales specific:--VD01.

hi,

in the general data section we are going maintain the details regarding the company details , like name, address, telephone number

in the company code data section , we maintain the details about the financial aspects , like bank detials, payment terms.

in the sales area data , we maintain all the details regarding , sales like what is the shipping point, what are the partner functions,pricing procedure
