Communication Channels

Hello Gurus,

I want to know somethings about the Communication Channels. You can define a communication Channel in the Integration Repository and the Integration Directory.What is the difference and when do you define a communication channel just in the IR and when in the ID and when both?

Hi,

In IR u define the Communication Channel Template that can be used in ID.

In ID you can use the same template for creating Communication Channel. however without changing any attributes.

Check the Differance:

Comm. Chnnael in IR ( i.e. Template )

However there is no dependancy that without creating in IR u can't create it in ID. In IR it's just a template other than that's it of no use. U can assign the Comm. Channel in IR while creating integration scenario and can use the same in ID.
