sap j2ee engine configuration in NWDS

Hi,

I am using Netweaver studio 2.0.15 for developing web dynpro application and using Application server 7.1.

When I try to configure J2EE engine in Netweaver studio, it is giving a message

message saying "No system could be found under
..
sapmnt."

If i configure as remote host, server was configured but when i try to deploy the application i am getting message " Cannot determine sdm host. Please configure your engine/sdm correctly."

Please any one help me to resolve my problem.

HI Siva,

SDM is Software Deployment Manager which allow us to deploy the applications.

To deploy from NWDS u require server and message port

For server, give ip address of remote server

To get Message Port, logon to

http://<server>:port/sap/monitoring/SystemInfo

Give j2ee_admin as user name and password.

Ask the password to basis admin.

There u can see message server port.

While deploying the application, it will ask for SDM Password.

Ask basis admin for this

When I typed http://<server>:port/sap/monitoring/SystemInfo

I am getting messsage server details correctly and I have configured same in NWDS. Still I am getting error.

HI,

In window->Show view Select J2ee engine.Press Refresh button.

Is dispatcher, SDM and Server are in green color.

If yes, then no problem with those things.

Yes they are in green color.

But when I try to deploy I am getting can't determine sdm host. Please configure your engine/sdm correctly.

Login to server system and go to <SAP_HOME>\sap\<SID>\JC<INST

_NO>\SDM\program\RemoteGui.bat

There give the SDM password and check whether u r able to login using that

In Web Dynpro content Administrator, When I click on Check SLD Connection In the pop up screen Host name is showing null, Port as -1 and User as null.

When I click Test Connection I am getting the following error message

"Connection to System Landscape Directory (SLD) could not be opened successfully".

Please help me to resolve this issue.

Select SAP J2EE engine is installed on remote host(Eventhough you installed in your local machine-- Try this).

Message Server Host: localhost

Message Server Port: 3601 or ????

Apply and check for deployment of your application.

Hi There !

This is a configuration Problem.

1. Go to Visual Admin

Navigate to SLD Data Supplier,

There enter the values for following parameters. in the HTTP Settings Tab

and CIM Client Generation Tab.

Host

Port

User

Password

Make sure the user entered has Admin Rights.

Click on CIM Client Test .

You will get a message that Test Successful.

2. in the NWDS.

go to Window Preferences.--J2ee Engine.

Enter the Remote Server host Name and Port.

Thats it.

Hi,

In the following URL

http://utcit-162:50100/sld/indexold.jsp

if I click SLD Check, it is showing

SLD Data Supplier: OK

Configuration: OK

This AS Java system reports its data to the SLD at http://abc:50100/sld

Status: SLD reachable

SLD Used By Applications: Not OK

Configuration: OK

Applications on this AS Java system use the SLD at http://abc:50100/sld

Status: CIM_ERR_FAILED: SLD is stopped.

How to start SLD to rectify the second error.
