Block planning and optimization

Hi everyone,

I am implementing a scenario as follows:

I plan production using block planning and heuristics like schedule sequence.. Once we have the list of the production orders to be procuced in a day, then the last step is defining the correct sequence of these orders in a day. Here I am trying to use optimizer for setup minimization to get the right sequence. However, I do not want system to consider blocks as constraint in this step. As far as I understand, there is no flag in the optimization profile saying "take into account block planning or not" (like in strategy profile). Do we have any chance to make optmizer not consider blocks as constraint?

Hi Ergul

To my knowledge, I think, optimizer will try to schedule within blocks optimally and also minimizing the set up time to an extent

I may be wrong, Pls let me know if I'm wrong
