DLL D:\MSDE\Resources\1033\setup.rll not a valid Windows Image. Why?

Hi!

I have 2 CD's to install Mini SAP Release 4.6D. When I run the Kernel Cd, after some 11 files are copied, a pop-up window opens up with the following Message: The application or LL D:\MSDE\Resources\1033\setup.rll is not a valid Windows Image.

Is it a virus problem? What should I do to get rid of this problem.

I also have the following problem:

Fatal error

execution cannot continue as the language dependant resource file D:\MSDE\Resources|1036\setup.RLL could not be loaded.

Then a get a window where I specify the target directory for the Mini SAP Basis System: C:\MBS and click next twice.

Finally, I have teh folowing:

Q. What do I do with the DNS entry? What do I write?

Hi,

edit c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file add the following

yourcomputername youripaddress

e.g

a349849 192.168.201.1

then you retry.

Hi again Anand, and thanks for trying to help me.

On my host file I have the following:

127.0.0.1 localhost

On the documentation of this file, it says that I must put the IP adresse first, and then the correponding host name. Is it my computer name that I must write?

But whatever I try, I still have the same problem, but first of all, I always have the following messages before I get the message concerning the host file:

D:\MSDE\Resources\1033\setup.rll is not a valid Windows Image.

and:

Fatal error

execution cannot continue as the language dependant resource file D:\MSDE\Resources|1036\setup.RLL could not be loaded.

Somebody told me that I could have to de-activate may anti-virus or nati-spywares first. Does it ring a bell for you?
