Error while installing NetWeaver 2004s

Hi,

I am installing NW2004s SR2 on Linux/Oracle.

I have installed oracle software and continued my installation(8th step). Now i am getting a error in tenth step(Configure oracle server network)

error:

Assertion failed:lsnrctl:parameter dbHome has to be valid ORACLE_HOME

Can you please suggest what is the issue.

You might have installed oracle in a wrong way i.e regular oracle installation, but you need to install as per the installation guide, if you install as per the guide then oracle_home will be /oracle/SID/102_64

It is very difficult at this stage to rectify better re-install.

pl. check again.

set the ORACLE_HOME=/oracle/J2E/920_64 as user root and reran the install. It all worked OK.

Hi,

I have set the ORACLE_HOME=/oracle/EZB/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1

EZB is the SID.

but still its not working.

Any help?

you have no installed Oracle the proper way, your Oracle_HOME should look like /oracle/[SID]/102_64
