Requesting system ack from XI

Hello Friends,

Is there a source code for the following scenario.

The consumer wants to request a system ack from XI,that a message has reached XI.

What is the source system here?In case you care dealing with Idoc's this functionality is available by deafult. You just need to add a few configuration settings for this.

What if the Sender is not an IDOC or a BPM?

Also, how ack is handled in case of Server Proxies?

Unfortunately I dont have the answer to that!

So far , I have always used Ack's with File , BPM's and Idoc's.

Most of the other adapters support Synch Processing / Fault messages and so I guess you can tweak the requirement so that you can do the same thing in different ways. But if you want a specific answer, I amnot sure as well.

Why would you use Ack's With sender File adapters? I was referring to receiver file adapters
