Hi all,

We have installed Netweaver 2004s XI server and our Central SLD is Solution manger. In the post installation step of XI we have configured SLD with Solution manager and when we try to import software component from SLD we are getting error " Unable to read software component version from system landscape directory " , i have checked in RZ70 and in SXMB_IFR also, both check gone good.

Best Regards

ARUN

Since we used a central SLD which is the solution manager. The user's that r created in XI should be created in SOLMAN as well. This resolved the problem

HI Arun

Have u checked sldcheck in the first place.

First check that. U will have description of the error.

Also check if the user xisuper is locked. U can check it in SU01.

What about program IDs, are they registered in visual admin.

Have u also created the RFC destinations, AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER, AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER

and registered their corresponding program IDs

USE Tcode SLDAPICUST to fill the user PIAPPLUSER and its password. Also please check if the user is locked. If so unlock and change its password to initial one.

some of the tips in this blog may help u-

Also refer this SAP Note-764176

Cheers...

Did you check entries in exchange profile??

http://<host>:<port>/rep/support/admin/index.html

goto: Exchange Profile ...

Under Connections look for:

com.sap.aii.connect.landscape.httpport -> Java port of your sol mananger instance

com.sap.aii.connect.landscape.name -> hostname of sol manager.

cheers,

emile

not sure if this addressed the issue. but did you check transaction SLDAPICUST and see if the SLD details are correct?
