how many maximum no. of fields there in a table?

You can have any number of fields in Table in SAP.

I dont think you will exceed 999

Please let me know if you need any more info

Hello,

Ignore the two previous incorrect posts.

Position (in 3.1 at least) is 4 digits so I presume 9999 (as mandt is 0001) if you need more you're doing something badly wrong 🐵

The above posts were not wrong. May be what you said is correct but I am not able to imagine a table with 9999 fields means so many columns too..Table will be huge....

Hello,

I'm afraid the first post which said you can have as many as you want is wrong (there is a limit) and the second post which says that you cannot exceed 999 is wrong too as it's 9999 (in 3.1 at least)

Just because you cannot imagine something, it doesnt make it unreal. I cannot imagine how big space is or the complexity of the human brain or even sap itself.
