Invalid Date - Messages in German

Former Member

Hi, I have made a Context Value Node, of type date. But when a user enter an invalid date from a field, the WD throw the following message:

Bitte geben Sie den Wert in der Form 25/11/1987 ein

I think It say: It's an invalid date... or something like that.

Is there any way to change that type of message to English language (or better in spanish)?

Thanks

Martin

Hi,

If your are using NW04 SP18 or less the problem is with the JAVA DDIC as pointed out by Armin.

The solution for this is given in SAP Note 993423.Please check the note and upgrade to SP19 or deploy the given SDA in the Note.

Hi Martin,

Check the Browser Settings

In IE, Tools->Internet Options->Language

In the language box,add English[en-us] as the first one.

or

In the NWDS,

Double Click the Application,It will show Application Properties,In that click new Button->select Pre-Defined and select Browse and choose Default Locale and in the Value Box give en-us.

Hi Martin,

I have exactly the same problem. This occurs when you have set the base language of your project to something other than English US. It seems that only English US and German texts have been supplied for this error. If your project has a base language other than English US - you get the German error. If you want the English message, then you can change the language of your project to English US and translate everything to Spanish later...

I believe that this is fixed in later service packs - I am running SP18 NW04 and it definately occurs there. (I'm using language en_GB)

Cheers,

Chris

These validation messages are not part of the Web Dynpro runtime but come from the Java DDIC runtime. In case of bugs, please open an OSS message on BC-DWB-JDD (or so).

Have you searched the "SAP Support Notes" (see left side of this window)?

You will find for example <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes/sdn_oss_bc_dwb/~form/handler%7b5f4150503d3030323030363832353030303030303031393732265f4556454e543d444953504c4159265f4e4e554d3d393737343235%7d">SAP Note 977425</a>
