I have 2 questions regarding SRM-MDM
1. What are the differences between SRM-MDM and MDM?
I have looked up MDM and my conclusion is that it has to improve the data quality within several systems. For example: data cleansing and de-duplication, normalization, consolidating, synchronization, central data creation. Is SRM-MDM then just for the data used within the SRM module or something else?
2. How is XI involved within SRM-MDM?
I hope someone can explain it to me.
Best regards,
SRM-MDM is using the MDM structure to save the catalogdata in a repository. But there a more add-ons to search und order ( Webdypro) artikle in the catalog. It also provides a OCI interface for the connection to the SRM modul. There is no xi needed for the communication between SRM-MDM and SRM. Best regurards Daniel

The SRM MDM Catalog tht u r talking about is the structure of the repository for MDM , based on the Standard SRM Requisite fields and tables. MDM is where u load this SRM MDM Respository and design furthur.
