Print server

Hi ,

There are actually seukprtaps01 as the primary print server and seukprtaps02 as a backup one in use for SAP PRD system since go-live year 2004. Recently, only seukprtaps01 is available. When there is a problem with seukprtaps01, seukprtaps02 was temporarily set up when we experience printing issue. As a result, it's found there is inconsistent of the two print servers.

I'm curious to know what the SAP print server strategy is.

can any body tell resloving the issue and reward will be provied.

SAP does not deliver "print servers"...

If you have a separate system set up to host your spool workprocesses you need to make sure, they have access to the same filesystem (/usr/sap/<SID>/data) to achive consistency. This can be accomplished using a HA solution from your vendor or through manually mounting them.

If that's not your problem, I don't get it...

dear Imran,

maybe you mean destination host ?

you can check it on SPAD > tabs : access method > field : destination host.

if the default setting is pointed to seukprtaps01's IP, you need to switch to seukprtaps02's IP address.
