route determination

hi all,

this is my first time doing a route configuration and this is an implementation that is going on here. The key user is asking wat are all the details that are needed to complete the route configuration??

the different fileds that are needed??

hi ,

route determination occurs in sap system based on the following items

1. the country and departure zone taken from the shipping point

2.the shipping conditions in the sales order

3. the transportation group from the material master record

4.the country and the receiving zone of the ship-to-party

5.the weight group

Route is determined by the combination of the following

a) Departure country/Departure Zone - maintained in shipping point configuration

b) Shipping condition from the sales order

c) Transportation planning group mantained in <i>General/Plant </i> view of material master.

d) Destination country/Transportation zone maintained in <i>General view -Address</i> of Customer master

Additionally route can be maintained by weight group

You need to collect the following data from user

a)Modes of transport

b)Shipping Types

c) Details of route -like transit duration, calender, shipping type

For this one:

d) Destination country/Transportation zone maintained in General view -Address of Customer master

Here the Customer should be Sold-to Party or Ship-to party in the Sales order??

Hi Hoo Laa,

d) Destination country/Transportation zone maintained in General view -Address of Customer master. The destination country/transportation zone is always taken from Ship - to - Party. We send the material to ship to party only.
