Hello everybody,
I need information on Web DMS.
We are using document management system which is connected to a content server and want to access (reading is enough actually) our documents without using Easy DMS, SAP GUI or SAP EP within a web browser or download them to the front end.
Any document or information will be useful.
Thanks.
Please check if the PLM Extension is on (Customizing 'Activate SAP ECC Extensions', Business Function 'EA-PLM').
Bye, Michael

When I search for the action, SAP finds it in IMG -> Cross App. -> Document Management but it actually does not exist because when I click the search results it goes nowhere and there's no such action under DM.
I also don't get how the search can find something that actully doesn't exist.
Do I need to install something?

There are some Define Web Document actions under
IMG -> Integration with Other mySAP.com Components -> Business Packages/Functional Packages
though but I don't know if this is the same thing..

I have a ECC 6.0 system and I find the settings for Web documents under
IMG -> Cross-application components->Document Management ->Set Up WebDocuments (BSP)
Please give a find inside your IMG for WebDocuments.
You should have the following inside the Webdocuments
Define Document type for Web Application
-Define sequence for field group
- Select Functions
- Define application for thumbnail
thanks

I cannot find Set up Web documents under Cross Application components -> DMS.
Why is it missing?

Web DMS is accessed by using the BSP application cvaw_entire.
The url for accessing is
http://<server>:port/sap/bc/bsp/sap/CVAW_ENTIRE
You should have made the related settings under
Cross Application components->DMS -> Set up Web documents
Let me know how it goes and I would be able to send you more screenshots.

Hi,
you can use Web Documents. This is a BSP-based (Business Server Pages ) application for creating, changing and displaying DMS Documents including classification.
For details, please have a look at
