Dear Experts,
The problem is how to accomodate the revision (technical specifications change) of Enquiry, Quotation and sales order documents in SAP SD Module.
For example:
In the legacy system, an enquiry is recieved as TCRD081, when it goes for 1st revision, it will be maintained as TCRD081-01.
enquiry may go 2nd revision also, then it has been created as TCRD081-02
Please help me in mapping the process.
Regards,
Anbu
Hi,
Amrish wrote the right thing. Anyway you could use the user status to track the revision level of the quotation and then check the changes in the change log.
Make a status profile for the quotation with the revision levels in tcode BS02

Hi Anbu,
I think in standard SAP there is no provision for maintaining and tracking history for Inquiery.
You will have to create new inquiery for each new rivision taking place.
Bussiness process wise you will be giving a quotation for each enquiery.Considering sold to party will be same in these revision cases. You can make use of field Quotation messages in VOV8 for quotation document type.
Options are
Do not check
A Check at header level
B Check at item level
C Check at header level and copy if unique
D Check at item level and copy if unique
E Check at header level and branch directly to selection list
F Check at item level and branch directly to selection list
So if there are open quotations then system will show you the list of all open quotations. These different quotations will be different for different inquieries as per Revision
Ultimately you will be creating Sales order with reference to finalised and accepted quotation by Customer.
Reward points if useful
