Hi friends,
When we try to print the document using front-end printing it will send the Spool request to SAPlpd program in windows desktop. While SAPlpd program pop-ups on the desktop showing status of our spool request. My question is " is there any way to restrict the pop-up of the SAPlpd screen on our desktop?"
Any help would be highly appreciated
Thanks.
Krishna
Hi Krishna,
You can install SAPLPD as a system service so that it will not popup when a spool request is directed.
For this purpose you will need "srvany.exe" and "instsrv.exe". these don't exist in regular windows versions. You will need "Windows NT/2000 Resource Kit" for these programs. Then follow "http://www.techeez.com/windows_tips/service_under_nt.htm" to set saplpd as service.
Best ragards.
