Dear Guru's

We are going to use a decentral adapter engine placed in the DMZ. What to do now, just install a j2ee adapter engine on a seperate server (java stack) and how to connect to our XI server?

Do we need to use the PCK yes or no. Where is the PCK exactly used for?

cheers

Richard

As you said you need to install the j2ee adpater enginee on separate a java stack... Follow the NW04/NW04s master guide....It explains clearly how to go with decentralized adapter enginee...

You need to specify those details in XI/PI 's exchange profile and you are good to go...

You don't need PCK ...PCK is only used by the business partners to whom you are communicating with and only if they don't use XI.....

hope this helps,

Thanks,

Ravi

I believe SAP warns against placing any component of XI domain in the DMZ except for web dispatcher.

What do you hope to gain by placing an adapter engine in the DMZ ? What is your requirement ?
