Hi Mahesh,
Open NWDS Under Window>Preferences>SAP J2EE Engine--> If the server is installed on same system then select "SAP J2EE Engine installed on same system and if it is installed in diffrent system then select "SAP J2EE engine installed in remote system".
Give the Message Server Host and Port Number and then open EP perspective and check wheather the J2EE engine is working or not.
Incase you need some sample application download from the folliowing links:

Hi mahesh..
1.After SDM turns to green, you have to connect to the server.
2.Then You have to give Preference-->SAP J2ee Engine.
3.In tht window, First you have to select the option whether Your SAP J2ee engine is intalled on remote host or Local Host.
4.Then,You have to give your server host and server port as per the host.
5.Then the SAP J2ee Engine is connected. Then you can create WD Application.
Following are some of examples of Webdynpro application..

Hi Mahesh..
1. Make sure you have properly configured the connection to the J2EE Engine. To check it, from the menu path choose Window ® Preferences and select SAP J2EE Engine.
2. The J2EE Engine connection parameters appear. Adjust the parameters if necessary
3. Under J2EE Explorer view right-click on the SDA file and choose Deploy to J2EE Engine:
Under SAP Enterprise Portal, you can Find SAP J2ee engine..
In tht, You can find tht option local and remote host..
If is not active then there is problem with J2ee installation...
